Brown Age Spots and Pigmentation

Age spots, sometimes called liver spots, are areas of darker skin that often look like large dark freckles. They are normally caused by long term sun damage, but occasionally can be caused by bruising that leaves behind pigment from the blood. Most age spots appear on aging hands, but they can appear on any part of the body that is exposed to the sun such as the face, neck, arms, and back.

Pigmentation is the darkening of an area of skin. Causes of pigmentation range from sun damage caused by UV exposure, hormone fluctuations due to pregnancy or menopause, and skin injuries such as acne scarring. Certain skin types can also be more susceptible to pigmentation.

A combination of Vibraderm™ and LimeLight™ IPL treatments will successfully treat age spots and pigmentation problems.
